For the sailors, Largs Yacht Haven is just down the road and features just about everything to do with your sailing needs. The Pencil is a round tower located south of Largs near the Yacht Haven and was built to mark a naval victory in 1263 over King Haco of Norway. For those feeling fit and hearty, Castlehill and Hill of Stake are nearby and offer splendid views of Largs, Bute, The Cumbraes and Arran and beyond.
